In 2022, Hoffmann Speedster celebrated its 35th anniversary with Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day. On July 9, 2023, the vintage car event will take place again on the grounds of the Henrichshütte LWL Industrial Museum in Hattingen. Here we have summarized the most important information about the event for you.
The Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day is an event for fans, friends and drivers of VW Beetles, Karmann Ghia, Porsche 911/912, VW Bus 1-4, VW Golf 1-3, VW 181, Porsche 356 and all other models. There is no fixed year limit. More than felt.
But neighborhood ones like Simca, Renault Dauphine, 8 or 10, 2 CV, BMW 700, NSU or even an old Opel are also welcome. Or go back with the 911. The vintage feel is crucial. No one has to leave their garage neighbors at home.
The organizer is E-Mags Media GmbH in cooperation with the Hoffmann Speedster Parts Sales GmbH. The industrial museum LWL Henrichshütte Hattingen is a great setting for a very emotional car meeting.

There will also be a dealer area at Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day. Numerous exhibitors, from merchandise dealers to car care dealers and jewelry and accessories stores to various car dealers, offer their products or services here. Here you will find the right accessory for your car, decoration for your home or garage or even your next car. If you wish, you can also offer your car for sale.
The program
At the heart of the event Vehicle presentations in moderation will take place on the Show & Shine stage. Parallel to the moderation, a jury of experts assesses the vehicles that have passed. Once the top 20 have been chosen, the winners will drive their vehicles back to the show stage in the afternoon and receive the coveted trophies.
Hours (provisional)
9:30 a.m.: Entry of the first participating vehicles
11:00 a.m.: Official opening by the organizers
11:15 a.m.: from the vehicle presentation all day on stage
4:00 p.m.: Trophy delivery
6:00 p.m.: End of the event
Fair admission prices
Advance ticket sales for the Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day on July 9, 2023 will begin in the spring. So if you want to secure an early ticket, no problem.
Participant tickets are valid per vehicle, including the driver and 3 other passengers, and cost just €20.
Visitor tickets (without car) cost €10 for adults and €5 for children and young people from 6 to 17 years old. Children under 6 years old have free admission.
Tickets for participants and visitors are also available at the box office.

No one has to starve at Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day! The gastronomic mile turns into a great “Gastronomic Festival”! There are hamburgers, American hot dogs and French fries. For dessert, restaurateurs offer bubble waffles or American ice cream. We also have sausage creations, crepes, freshly baked pizza and coffee specialties.

An old forge as the perfect setting
On the grounds of the LWL-Museums Henrichshütte in Hattingen there is another attraction for the little ones this year: a unique playground with a blast furnace as its showpiece. Here the children can play how iron and steel are made, but the furnace remains cold!
The LWL-Industriemuseum Henrichshütte was once a hardware store, today it is an impressive museum for iron and steel! Sparks flew for 150 years as the blast furnaces at Henrichshütte spat out molten iron. We are now bringing the history of iron and steel to life for you in this unique original location. At the Hoffmann Speedster Classic Day, almost all areas are freely accessible. Have you ever stood in front of a steel faucet? Or in a blast furnace?
