Google is officially out of the flagship game, which focuses on the midrange segment. Last year’s Pixel 3a series worked surprisingly well in one area where past devices didn’t. Since it’s real sales, Google clearly thought that if two phones worked, then three would work. Just two weeks ago, the first 5G Pixel debuted on the Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5, but now the latter is adorning our hands with the cool Sorta Sage mint green color. These are our first impressions.
The first thing you’ll notice on the Pixel 5 is the metal finish. A special recycled aluminum coating that feels great when held in the hand, thanks to its textured finish. It also provides excellent grip. In terms of size, it’s about the same as the Pixel 4a, despite the 0.2-inch larger display and the larger camera notch on the back. While the recent Pixel chose a different color power button, the Pixel 5 has a glossy finish that contrasts with the matte color of the device.
The contents of the box are typical Pixel issues. 18W charger, USB-C-USB-C cable, SIM ejector tool, USB-C-microUSB adapter dongle. The Pixel 5 comes with the same old 12.2MP primary camera with 1.4um pixels, f / 1.7 lens and OIS. It is paired with the line 16MP ultra wide sensor f / 2.2 aperture and the first 1.0um pixel size. We want to see in a complete review how the ultra-wide shooter works. There is also 60fps 4K video. This is the first time for a Google mobile phone.
The Pixel 5 has a 4,080mAh battery. It’s the largest Pixel smartphone to date, and when paired with the power-efficient Snapdragon 765G, it offers stable battery durability.
