Riot Games is creating an MMORPG, but it was announced in a slightly unusual way. This next MMO will be the first foray into this genre from the developers behind League of Legends and Valorant. On Twitter, Riot’s vice president of intellectual property and entertainment, Greg Street, tweeted that he is adopting a new project to develop the League of Legends. space. When asked if it was an MMO, Street fully confirmed that it was on Twitter.

Major projects like League of Legends MMO are usually not announced on personal Twitter accounts, but the move has been fierce in recent years to extend the stability of the game beyond League of Legends. It makes sense for Riot working on.

Over the last two years, Riot has developed and released Legends of Runeterra, a competitive card game based on the League of Legends universe. The same is true for Valorant, a competitive shooter based on the original IP.

Riot also announced Riot Forge. This is Riot’s publishing initiative to collaborate with external developers on games and other projects based on the League of Legends universe. One of its first projects is Ruined King, a turn-based LoLRPG that will appear on consoles and PCs in 2021.
