Mumbai: While users around the world are looking for alternatives to the WhatsApp instant messaging application due to the new privacy policy, the Indian company Zoho Corporation is trying to make WhatsApp a Made in India option. Zoho Corporation will launch the ‘Arattai’ messaging app for users soon. So now this app is hotly debated.

Chennai-based Zoho Corporation is not new to software manufacturing. The company is known for its advancements in online office suites, IT management software, and Internet of Things (IoT) technology. Company founder Shridhar Wembu shared information about the app on his Twitter account on Sunday (January 10).

This application is now available to download on the Google Play Store. What’s special is that this app has a 4.5 star rating and more than 10,000 users have downloaded this app. Aratai app version 0.10.44 was updated on Monday. Arattai has the same functions as any messaging application. Group chat can accommodate up to 1000 users and video calls can include up to six users.

What does the Arattai app collect?
Like WhatsApp, the application can ask the user for personal information, such as profile name, country code, phone number, address, usage data, and other optional information, such as profile photos, contacts in their address book. mobile phone.

Usage data may include information such as the type of mobile device you are using, the unique IP ID of your mobile device, the IP address of the mobile device, the mobile operating system, the type of mobile internet browser you are using, and other data, as established by the Arattai privacy policy.

Messages
The Arattai message is currently not end-to-end encrypted. Sridhar Wembu said: “Work on this feature is currently underway and will be featured at the official launch of the app.”

End-to-end encryption means that no application, service provider, or third party can gain user access or read messages. WhatsApp messages are end-to-end encrypted.

With whom can Arattai share information?
“We do not share your information with third parties without the user’s permission. But user information can be shared with employees, business partners, reseller partners, and third-party service providers to help with the application’s service work,” Arattai said.

“In addition to protecting the rights of law enforcement officials, users, employees and the general public, we can provide information to government agencies and third parties to prevent fraud,” said Arattai’s privacy policy.
