“The Proud Princess of Lily Singh” Greenlit animated film by pocket watch

Date:

Lily Singh will be starring in a new animated musical short film on the theme of LGBTQ Pride from Pocket.watch, part of the vast 2021 slate of Digital Kids Content Studios.

In “Lily Singh’s Proud Princess,” NBC’s “Slightly Late with Lily Singh” host on YouTuber speaks to a girl who is proud of her true identity. This movie is currently in pre-production.

“She is a great talent and represents an example of the diverse perspectives we bring to our viewers,” said Alby Hect, Chief Content Officer at Pocket.watch. The film “talks about the issue of children’s LGBTQ identities. Lily will be an eloquent and clear spokesperson for that.”

Singh, an actor and comedian who became famous on YouTube, announced on social media two years ago that she was bisexual, female, and “colored.” “Throughout my life, these have sometimes proved to be obstacles, but now I’m fully accepting them as my superpower,” she said at the time, her original “II Superwoman II” online. I am writing with reference to the handle.

Pocket.watch has not set a premiere date or delivery of “The Proud Princess of Lily Singh”. The company plans to release additional details later this year, including who will write the music for the movie, Hect said.

By 2021, Pocket.watch plans to almost double the output of the original content, according to Hecht. By the end of this year, the studio expects the library to be in the top 300 hours (19,000 minutes) of the original show, which consists of over 1,600 episodes.

Pocket.watch launches the second season of “Love, Diana” after the Ukrainian family premiered a live-action / animated hybrid series last summer behind the YouTube channel Kids Diana Show starring 6-year-old Diana. I made a green light. Season 1 of “Love, Diana” has been played over a billion times on YouTube alone. Pocket.watch has ordered Season 2 of 32 episodes and three “Love, Diana” specials to be released this year.

The company also announced that the new season of YouTube’s Onyx family of “Oynx Monster Mysteries” will acquire an exclusive window for Amazon Kids Plus subscription services from October 2021. Last fall, Pocket.watch signed an exclusive offer to Amazon Kids Plus rights to the 30-minute special “Super Spy Ryan” featuring Ryan’s World stars.

In addition, Pocket.watch has more Ryan’s World programming from the very popular kid YouTuber Ryan Kaji and his family with a new Ryan’s World special and Nickelodeon’s new season preschool show “Ryan’s Mystery Playdate”. Said to pull out. Pocket.watch is Ryan’s World’s exclusive studio partner.

Also this year, Pocket.watch will produce and deliver a new season of the Ultimate Mishmash series, consisting of repackaged content from the largest creators such as KidsDianaShow, Karina Garcia, EvanTubeHD, JillianTubeHD and OnyxFamily.

“Our franchise reaches a large audience and Pocket.watch takes the responsibility of accurately representing the global community in which we serve,” Hecht said. “The 2021 content slate reflects that.”

Other originals in production at Pocket.watch:

  • Rosanna Pansino Magic Food Truck: An anime series starring YouTube food blogger Rosanna Pancino and her cookware friends fly around the world on her Magic Baking Truck, providing help and learning about local food. (Hect explained that the “Magic School Bus” would meet “Diner, Drive-in, Dive”.)
  • “Misprint”: An anime series that follows Lucky Parker, a misprint of the world where everyone is perfectly printed. Our lucky hero turns his physical challenge into the head as he and his misprint crew approach all middle school situations with blind optimism.
  • “For victory!”: A series of live-action contests for children aged 7-12, where Generation Alpha’s favorite YouTuber fights in video games and at the same time takes on physical challenges.
  • “Tick and weed”: Introducing the cheerful, often active, young dandelion Dani Lions, who are determined to combine young weeds with the flora of many petal academies, with a petal-sunny personality. An animated musical series for children aged 5-8.

Pocket.watch distribution partners include Amazon Prime Video, Roku, and Hulu. The Culver City, California-based company was founded in 2017 by CEO Chris M. Williams. Investors include ViacomCBS, Greycroft, Third Wave Digital, UTA and Robert Downey Jr. Includes Team Downey, Jon Landau.
