ATTENTION: Large Greek bank appears as sender in phishing email scam

An organized fraud is taking place that aims to steal customer information from a large Greek bank. Kaspersky warns Greek users about phishing messages that mimic the big Greek bank. In just one day, Kaspersky Solutions has registered more than 180 emails of this type.

See below the email with which they try to steal information:

Kaspersky recommendations for better protection:

  • Check the sender’s address, website address, and links to unexpected and unknown messages to make sure they are legitimate sources.
  • Pay attention to the text: Well-known companies don’t send emails with unprofessional formatting or poor grammar.
  • Don’t open attachments or carelessly click on email links, especially if the sender insists.
  • In general, pay attention to what personal data, such as email or phone number, is disclosed on online platforms. This is how digital criminals store user data for use in spamming and phishing.
