in a job posting viewable on PlayStation website, Sony reveals it is looking for a “PlayStation Studios Mobile Device Manager” in San Mateo, California. Whoever is chosen for this job will be tasked with “promoting the vision, mission and strategy for mobile game development within PlayStation Studios,” according to the announcement.
“As director of mobile devices, you will own and develop the mobile gaming strategy for PlayStation Studios and help lay the foundation for future growth opportunities.”. In addition to expanding mobile game development, the work requires “a focus onsuccessful adaptation of the most popular franchises of PlayStation for mobile devices ”.
The announcement also states that the new Director of Mobile Devices will work with the PlayStation Studios Leadership Team to develop a product roadmap for a “3-5 year time period.” This means that, in all likelihood, no new mobile title will not be released immediately, but it will take years to see it in major digital stores.
