Recently it became known about the fourth game in the BioShock universe called Isolation. According to the latest information, the action of the game will take place in two cities. Journalist Colin Moriarty shared new details about Isolation during the Sacred Symbols broadcast on Friday (available to paid Patreon subscribers).
According to Moriarty, BioShock 4 will take place in the 1960s in the fictional Antarctic city of Borealis. In the story, the game will be related to the previous installments of BioShock. The Cloud Chamber studio intends to release the game in late 2022.
Developers have a lot of leeway and resources to create an interesting and high-quality product. The project is kept in great secrecy. Also, BioShock can’t help but compare it to the new sci-fi RPG from Ken Levin, the lead designer of the game for the first two parts. Interestingly, Levin’s game will also be published by 2K Games.
Despite Levin’s departure to Ghost Story Games, Jonathan Pelling (BioShock 1 designer and BioShock Infinite creative director), Hoagi de la Plante (BioShock original designer and programmer), Scott Sinclair (BioShock original art director and BioShock Infinite) and others familiar with the franchise.
