Oppo has been working on display cameras since late 2019, but has not released any devices that use this technology so far. However, it seems that the Chinese manufacturer has just registered a new patent with the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) for a device with a camera under the screen and a secondary screen on the back, placed next to the module of the camera.
It remains to be seen whether this terminal would be part of the Find X4 series or not, as the renderings of LetsGoDigital. The patent was previously approved by CNIPA (China National Intellectual Property Association) and can now be used globally.
The images obtained by LetsGoDigital show that the screen is curved on all four sides, and the camera assembly is square in shape, with four sensors inside (this is just an illustration, and the location of the sensors and their number may change completely about the final product).
The second screen should be used to help take selfies and display notifications. Xiaomi’s flagship model, Mi 11 Ultra, adopted a similar design, a phone whose you can read the review here.
