The unusually high minimum requirements for Elden Ring were recently posted on Steam, and that immediately sparked a discussion. A short time later, however, the requirements were removed again, so it’s likely a bug.
In two weeks, on February 25, the new game from From Software and Bandai Namco with Elden Ring will finally be released. Not all players may be able to jump right into the open world RPG, because the surprisingly high minimum requirements were released early. Specifically, there was talk of at least a Ryzen 3 3300X or a Core i5-8400, 12 GB of RAM and a Geforce gtx1060 or one Radeon RX 580.
Retired system requirements
On the Steam forum, these high system requirements led to long discussions and many complaints from players who are now concerned that they won’t be able to play Elden Ring on their hardware. The developers were quick to react to this and promptly removed the system requirements from Steam. Now it just says that the recommended system requirements have not yet been released. However, there is no trace of the minimum requirements.

So far there has been no explanatory statement from the developers, but the release was probably just a mistake. It is conceivable, for example, that the specified hardware is actually the recommended system requirements. It is not clear why this bug was not simply fixed and the system requirements removed entirely.

Too worried that an Elden Ring If you can’t play on slightly older hardware, you shouldn’t at all. The game is scheduled to come out for both Playstation 4 and Xbox One, and both consoles are significantly underpowered than advertised. CPUs Y graphics cards. Even if games they are optimized separately for consoles and thus work a bit better there, you can probably still play Elden Ring on older hardware.
