Pieces joins SK Gaming

Date:

from Philip Sattler
The trend of recent years of major WoW guilds joining esports organizations continues to grow. After Method, Echo and Liquid, the main pieces of the guild are no longer “just” a guild. He joined the well-known SK Gaming organization.

The absolute top guilds in WoW have long been more than just guilds attacking together. The structures have become increasingly professional over the years, until the Gilde Method dared to take the step and became an esports organization. Later, other guilds followed a similar path, for example, the current Echo guild, the first in the world.

Other guilds, on the other hand, have joined existing large esports organizations. Because even in professional esports, the potential that lies in events like the Race to World First has been recognized. An example of this is Guild Limit, which appears first in Complexity Limit and is now active on Team Liquid.

Parts becomes SK Parts

And now follows the Pieces guild, which in First world race of the Sanctum of Dominion had landed in third place, this trend. As announced by the guild via Twitter, Pieces has joined the esports organization SK Gaming and has also changed its name to SK Pieces.

SK Gaming is an esports organization founded in Germany in 1997, which is represented in titles like Counter-Strike, League of Legends, and StarCraft 2, among others, and has seen great success there. Sponsors of SK Gaming, and thus now also indirectly of Pieces, include Deutsche Telekom and Mercedes-Benz, but also brands such as Nike, Western Digital and Krombacher.
