It has long been known that there will be another reboot of google pay and now things are moving in rapid succession: a few days ago the new logo and the new name appeared and now there are several screenshots. The new wallet name and logo came out just a few days ago and now there are screenshots of the new app that finally seal the whole thing. Google Wallet will focus on replacing user wallets and bringing payment solutions, tickets, reservations, affiliate programs, loyalty cards and more under one roof. Something like that already existed with Google Pay, but this will probably be cut off by these features.
Google Pay will be part of the new product and will continue to handle mobile payments. With this solution, it will be possible to increase significantly in this area without changing the simplicity of Google Pay too much. It is very possible that the new product will be presented in a few days. Because both Pay and Wallet are part of Google Play Services and allow a very wide and almost simultaneous deployment on almost all smartphones. The checkout feature is now available to most users and other things like tickets or reservations are read from GMail again. It remains to be hoped that the wallet reset will actually serve global standardization and not further complicate it.
