With Adrenalin Edition 22.8.1, AMD has released a new graphics card driver for its Radeon portfolio. Among other things, the new driver version fixes a stutter that could occur with certain GPUs like the Radeon RX 6700 XT. It has also been optimized for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.

AMD has released Adrenalin 22.8.1. New graphics card driver optimizes current Radeon GPUs such as the RX 6000 series for Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Thymesia and Radeon Boost with variable rate shader for Halo Infinite. Enhanced Sync has also been optimized to improve stability and the overall experience.

On the bug fix side, AMD names six resolved issues. Black flickering may be noticeable with graphics cards such as the Radeon RX 6700 XT when switching between video playback and gaming. Another bug fixed concerns Project Zomboid: here the video output could freeze. Additionally, games based on the LOVE2D engine should no longer render incorrectly, Stormworks: Build and Rescue should no longer crash on launch, and mixed reality headsets should run cleaner. Black flickering may occur with certain GPUs, such as the Radeon RX 6800 XT. Last but not least, the Americans addressed a bug related to Enhanced Sync. We are talking about a system crash while playing a video on additional monitors.

Unfortunately, the developer of the chip has not yet eliminated all the problems. You may stutter when playing Call of Duty: Warzone on the Caldera map with some AMD graphics products, such as the Radeon RX 6900 XT. In relation to Fortnite and the DirectX 11 API, you may experience a similar issue when launching the game for the first time, for example when using the Radeon RX 6950 XT. Radeon Super Resolution may not activate after changing resolution or HDR settings in games like Nioh 2.

After changing display settings, but also after viewing character information, Lost Ark may still flicker. There are also reports of display issues with Oculus Quest 2 related to the Oculus Dashboard menu and controller rendering. A bug related to DaVinci Resolve Studio 17 may also be relevant for content creators: AMD reported a possible crash with products like the Radeon RX 6900 XT that use the AMD encoder.

“Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen in some games and system settings when enabled. Any user experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary solution.” Find more details and download for Windows 10 and 11 Visit the official AMD website.
