The Google company generates a large part of its sales from advertising and, of course, has a great interest in keeping it that way, despite all the challenges. Now they have launched a new app that is supposed to allow a study among invited US users and give them the opportunity to earn money from their response. The ‘Online Information Study’ is available for download on the Google Play Store, but unfortunately only to a limited extent.
Google offers its users several ways to earn money with simple means, such as with Google Services and Shopping Behavior Surveys. Now there is a new app that is geared towards the advertising business and asks users about their experiences with Google advertising. This is a research project and users will need an invitation code to participate.
The Online Insights study is a Google research project. If you choose to participate, Google will collect approved information about the ads you see and the websites you visit to develop measurement solutions to improve the future of online advertising by putting user privacy first.
Eligible participants can earn points redeemable for gift cards worth up to $10 per month or $130 per year with bonuses.
Google will not use the information collected for this study to report advertising campaigns to advertisers or to show you personalized ads.
Merit isn’t bad for this short, survey app-like job. Maybe one day it will start outside the US as well, and ultimately you as a user can also benefit from the fact that advertising is getting better.
