Roccat, Turtle Beach Corporation’s gaming accessory brand, recently announced a new keyboard. Roccat describes the Vulcan II Max as “the fastest, most beautiful keyboard” the company has ever made.

Gaming accessory brand Roccat recently announced the availability of its latest keyboard. The Vulcan II Max follows the one announced in September Vulcan II Mini, which is kept in the smallest format. However, the Vulcan II Max comes in full form factor and is supposed to impress with its modern design and smooth RGB-lit palm rest.

Slim keyboard with opto-mechanical switches

The new Vulcan II Max keyboard features Titan II optical-mechanical switches, designed to combine fast optical actuation speed with the feel of a traditional mechanical switch. The switches should also have a lifespan of up to 100 million clicks. The keyboard will also use the world’s first dual-LED smart switches, which highlight secondary button functionality with a second LED light.

“Our new Max products offer PC gamers the latest in Roccat design, performance and aesthetics, and the Vulcan II Max brings it all together,” said René Korte, Founder of Roccat and General Manager of PC Peripherals at Turtle Beach. “From our lightning-fast Titan II optical switches to the sleek design and sleek RGB-illuminated palm rest, it’s the fastest, most beautiful keyboard we’ve created to date.”

The keyboard’s Titan II switches are also compatible with many third-party cross-mount keycaps. This should allow users to make their input device even more personal. The Vulcan II Max also offers 24 multifunction buttons with secondary functions, as well as onboard memory that can be used to store up to four profiles. There are also design elements like an anodized aluminum faceplate and special media controls. The Vulcan II Max is now available for €229.99.
