Asus ROG PG27AQDM: gaming monitor with OLED and 240 Hz in 27 inches

The era of “smaller” gaming monitors with OLED panels has just begun. Asus also wants to get involved next year and is preparing a 27-inch OLED monitor with WQHD (2,560×1,440) and 240 Hz with the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM. Details will probably only be available at CES 2023.

On Twitter, Asus draws attention to the new monitor through its ROG channel for gaming products. As well as buzzwords like “1440p late monitor“There are also real details to see in addition to the key data mentioned.

Asus ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM

You can see an LED screen on the base (in the video with Swift lyrics), RGB lighting elements on the back of the screen, and a new type of control panel on the bottom rear edge of the screen. The logo projector under the three-legged stand, on the other hand, is already familiar from many other models in the series.

Same panel as the LG 27GR95QE?

The key data is reminiscent of the recently unveiled LG UltraGear 27GR95QE-B, which is scheduled to launch in the US in Q1 2023 for $999. At least Asus will most likely use the same OLED panel. The ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM will be introduced in more detail at CES 2023.

Lots more OLED options coming next year

MSI’s Project 491C can also be expected at CES. Behind it is a very wide 49-inch monitor with a curved QD OLED panel, which also runs up to 240Hz.

The LG UltraGear 45GR95QE-B with its strongly curved 45″ OLED panel is scheduled to launch again this year, and can be reserved in the US starting at least December 12 for $1,699.

Philips announced the availability of its first QD-OLED monitor for gamers in mid-January: the Evnia 34M2C8600 combines UWQHD with 175Hz and costs €1,849 (RRP).

Next year, the selection of gaming monitors with OLED technology, which has so far been very manageable, will increase significantly.
