Cash Cleaner Simulator Launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S With New DLC

Date:

A niche PC simulation game with a darkly humorous premise is expanding to consoles. Cash Cleaner Simulator, developed by Mind Control Games and published by Forklift Interactive, is now available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The console launch coincides with the release of the LOUD AND LOADED downloadable content, which is also available on PC via Steam.

The game, which has already sold more than 300,000 copies on PC, brings its unconventional money-processing mechanics and satirical tone to a wider audience, complete with post-launch updates introduced since its original release.

A Simulation Built Around Cleaning Cash

At its core, Cash Cleaner Simulator places players in charge of an underground cash-cleaning operation. Clients deliver large sums of money that arrive in various conditions—dirty, bloodstained, damaged, or counterfeit—and it’s the player’s job to retrieve, sort, verify, and clean the cash to exacting standards.

Deliveries may come packed in boxes, hidden inside furniture, or bundled in other unexpected ways. Players extract the money, remove contaminants, and organize it efficiently, all while managing time and workflow at their own pace.

Finding Work and Expanding the Operation

New jobs are sourced through an in-game phone that gives players access to the darknet, where additional contracts and opportunities appear. Earnings can be reinvested into upgraded equipment, allowing players to scale up their operation and handle increasingly complex tasks.

The game extends beyond paper currency. Gold bars and foreign money from around the world also pass through the lab, reinforcing the idea that anything with exchange value can be processed—no questions asked.

Between jobs, downtime can be spent on side activities, including a basketball-style minigame played with stacks of cash, reinforcing the title’s offbeat sense of humor.

Mystery Beneath the Surface

While the premise is presented with satire, Cash Cleaner Simulator also leans into a subtle narrative undercurrent. Players are intentionally discouraged from asking where the money comes from—or why their workspace has no visible exit.

Those who explore the lab after hours, using tools like UV lights, may uncover unsettling details that hint at darker secrets beneath the routine of cash processing. These optional discoveries add an unexpected layer of tension to an otherwise methodical simulation.

Console Release With Post-Launch Improvements

The console versions include the full range of updates and refinements added to the PC edition since launch. Alongside the base game, the LOUD AND LOADED DLC debuts across all platforms.

The expansion introduces new interactive items, most notably the Money Machine Gun, designed to add a more chaotic and playful twist to the cash-cleaning workflow.

Developer Perspective

Leonid Gorbachev, CEO of Mind Control Games, acknowledged the game’s tongue-in-cheek approach to its subject matter.

“It’s true that crime doesn’t pay, but making fun games about crime is a great way to make a living,” Gorbachev said. “If players don’t pick up Cash Cleaner Simulator on PlayStation and Xbox, we might all have to go find work in shady underground labs ourselves.”

Pricing and Availability

Cash Cleaner Simulator is available now on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, joining its earlier PC release on Steam. The base game is priced at $19.99, with the LOUD AND LOADED DLC available for $9.99.

About the Studios

Mind Control Games is an independent developer based in the Netherlands and Serbia, known for experimenting with unconventional mechanics and tackling challenging themes while balancing artistic and commercial goals.

Forklift Interactive operates out of Barcelona and Atlanta and was founded by industry veterans with experience at established publishers. The company focuses on system-driven games that encourage emergent, player-created narratives.

Looking Ahead

With its console debut and new DLC now live, Cash Cleaner Simulator continues to build on its success as a simulation that blends routine tasks, dark humor, and environmental storytelling. The expanded platform availability is expected to introduce the game’s unusual premise to a broader console audience.
