Pearl Abyss has released Edania: Part 2 for Black Desert, expanding the online role-playing game’s world with the Inner region of Edania. The August 13, 2026 update introduces six monster zones, four bosses, new endgame accessories, additional progression systems, and challenges designed for high-level players.
Black Desert Opens Edania’s Inner Region
Edania was first introduced in August 2025 as a demonic realm divided into two major sections. The Outer region is controlled by demon lords who inherited the power of the gods, while the Inner region is where the gods themselves exert their influence.
With Part 2 now available, players, known in the game as Adventurers, can travel deeper into Edania and encounter Agris, Markthanan, Elion, and Aal. All four have established roles within Black Desert lore and are central to the newly expanded region.
Six New Monster Zones Target High-Level Players
The update introduces six monster zones with different combat mechanics, enemies, and rewards:
- Agris’ Domain — Aphrodon Temple
- Markthanan’s Domain — Hermesia Inner Castle
- Elion’s Domain — Magaia Temple
- Aal’s Domain — Aresion Temple
- Elion’s Domain — Scales of Judgment
- Hadum’s Domain — Event Horizon
The recommended combat requirements increase across the new areas. Event Horizon is the most demanding zone in the update, with recommended stats of 420 AP and 505 DP.
Scales of Judgment takes a different approach as a dedicated three-player party zone. Players must coordinate with one another while maintaining a balance between opposing forces during encounters.
Four New Bosses Join the Battle for Edana
Edania’s Inner region also adds four bosses: Aphrodon representing Agris, Hermesia representing Markthanan, Magaia representing Elion, and Aresion representing Aal.
The minimum AP and DP requirements for these encounters range from 405/485 to 420/505, positioning them as endgame challenges for experienced players.
Weekly Boss Battles Lead to the Throne of Edana
Players can challenge one Edania boss each week through a dedicated weekly quest. Successfully completing the encounter awards an Edana Rising Token.
The token provides access to the Throne of Edana, a competitive activity in which players fight for control of individual regions. The current Edana must defend the position against challengers, with the last Adventurer standing becoming the new Edana.
Winning control of a region comes with exclusive privileges and rewards.
Ekleta and Apeiron Accessories Expand Endgame Progression
Pearl Abyss has also introduced two accessories, Ekleta and Apeiron. Although both can ultimately reach the same maximum statistics, they follow different progression paths.
Ekleta is obtained by converting high-grade Kharazad accessories. Players can then enhance it using materials associated with individual accessory slots.
Apeiron takes a more direct route. It can drop as loot from the newly introduced monster zones and can also be traded through the Central Market.
The two systems give players a choice between converting and improving existing equipment or obtaining new accessories through combat and the game’s economy.
Godslayer’s Armor and New Crystals Added
The update introduces the Godslayer’s Armor outfit, which can be crafted by collecting Embers of Ynix from Edania’s Inner region.
Players can obtain the outfit through a quest at the Ancient Foresight near the Radiant Lands. The armor is tied to the power of Ynix and adds another collectible objective to the expanded region.
New Progression Materials and Rewards
Additional items include the Wandering Origin Crystal, which can be crafted using materials gathered in the Inner region. New artifacts and consumable items have also been introduced as part of the update.
These additions broaden the progression options available to players tackling Edania’s higher-level content.
Tachyon Legacy Offers Special Trials
Players exploring Edania may discover the Tachyon Legacy hidden throughout the region. Finding it unlocks a special trial that can reward successful players with Agris Gold Coins.
The coins can be collected and exchanged for several rewards, including Cron Stones, Nev’s Fragment, Advice of Valks (+250), and Twilight of the End.
The system provides an additional incentive for players to explore beyond the primary monster zones and boss encounters.
Hadum Story Expansion Planned for September
While Edania: Part 2 focuses on opening the Inner region and expanding endgame activities, Pearl Abyss plans to continue the storyline in a future update.
Hadum is scheduled to emerge as the next major threat in September, accompanied by a new main questline that will continue Edania’s broader narrative.
With six new monster zones, four bosses, new accessories, equipment, competitive challenges, and exploration-based rewards, Edania: Part 2 significantly expands Black Desert’s high-level content while setting the stage for the next chapter of the Edania storyline.
