Narrative adventure Afterlove EP is expanding its accessibility to more players worldwide with a new localization update and additional Nintendo Switch regional releases. Publisher Fellow Traveller announced the update on October 1, adding three languages to Pikselnesia’s slice-of-life game.
Afterlove EP Adds Chinese and Korean Language Support
The latest Afterlove EP update introduces subtitles in Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean, expanding the language options available in the 2024 release.
With the update, Afterlove EP now supports subtitles in six languages: English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Indonesian.
The expanded localization is intended to make the narrative-focused title accessible to a broader audience, particularly across several major Asian gaming markets.
Localization Update Available Across Major Platforms
The new language options will be available digitally across all platforms where Afterlove EP is offered, including Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The additional localizations are also included in the recently released physical edition for Nintendo Switch. That version was released by Neos Corporation through its Indie Tech Games label.
Nintendo Switch Release Expands to New Asian Regions
Alongside the localization update, Fellow Traveller confirmed that Afterlove EP will become available through additional regional Nintendo eShop storefronts.
The game is scheduled to launch on the Hong Kong/Taiwan and Korean Nintendo eShop storefronts on October 8, 2026.
A Nintendo Switch release in Singapore is also planned, although the publisher has not yet announced a specific launch date for that market.
The regional expansion gives Nintendo Switch players in those territories direct access to the game while complementing the newly added Chinese and Korean subtitle options.
A Narrative Adventure From Pikselnesia
Developed by Pikselnesia, Afterlove EP is a slice-of-life narrative adventure originally released in 2024. The game combines storytelling with elements of adventure gaming and focuses heavily on characters and personal relationships.
The expanded localization is particularly notable for a story-driven title, where dialogue and written narrative play a central role in the overall experience.
Adding Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Korean alongside the game’s existing English, Japanese and Indonesian support substantially broadens the number of players who can experience the story in a supported language.
Physical Nintendo Switch Edition Includes New Languages
Players purchasing the physical Nintendo Switch edition will also have access to the newly introduced localization options.
The physical release comes through Neos Corporation’s Indie Tech Games label, giving Switch owners another way to experience the title beyond its digital Nintendo eShop version.
The update does not change the game’s core content but expands its reach through additional language support and regional storefront availability.
Afterlove EP Continues Global Expansion
With the localization update rolling out across Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, Afterlove EP now supports six subtitle languages.
The October 8 Nintendo eShop launches in Hong Kong/Taiwan and Korea, followed by a planned Singapore release, mark another step in expanding the game’s international availability and making Pikselnesia’s narrative adventure accessible to more players.
