Ancient Farm is expanding its farming simulation experience to current-generation consoles, bringing its ancient Egyptian setting to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The game launches on consoles September 24, 2026, combining crop cultivation and animal care with resource gathering, construction, crafting, and cooking.
Developed by independent Polish studio A2 Softworks and published by Ultimate Games S.A., Ancient Farm is also available on PC. A2 Softworks previously developed titles including Gatewalkers and Drill Deal, with the studio focusing largely on strategy and simulation games.
Build a Farm in Ancient Egypt
Ancient Farm places players in a world inspired by ancient Egypt, where they begin with a small plot of land and gradually develop it into a much larger agricultural operation.
Designed as a calm, single-player farming and livestock simulator, the game is presented from a first-person perspective. Rather than relying on modern machinery and automated farming technology, players must work with tools and methods appropriate to the historical setting.
Farming and animal husbandry form the foundation of the experience, but players have additional activities to manage as their settlement grows. Resources can be collected and used for construction and crafting, while cooking provides another component of everyday farm life.
Seasons and Changing Farm Prices
Ancient Farm also features changing seasons, adding another consideration to agricultural planning. Players must adapt their activities as conditions change throughout the farming cycle.
An economic system introduces fluctuating prices for agricultural products. This means the value of harvested goods can change over time, adding a management element alongside the game’s more relaxed farming mechanics.
Crops, Livestock and Ancient Tools
Players can cultivate a wide selection of crops and plants, including corn, flax, cotton, sugar cane, hemp, wheat, papyrus, grapes, and olive trees.
The livestock system includes cows, sheep, chickens, and oxen. Players can raise and manage these animals while expanding their farm and balancing other responsibilities.
A variety of tools inspired by those used in ancient times are also available. With advanced agricultural machinery absent from the setting, much of the work depends on traditional methods and hands-on labor.
Ancient Farm Combines Farming, Crafting and Exploration
Beyond planting crops and caring for animals, Ancient Farm allows players to explore its Egyptian-inspired environment, gather useful materials, construct structures, craft items, and prepare food.
The combination of farming, livestock management, exploration, and building is intended to provide varied gameplay while maintaining a slower-paced simulation experience.
