Will a late-2020 (or early 2021) 13-inch MacBook Pro be as skinny and gentle as the MacBook Air?
Your MacBook is record.
That was much more or much less the information from Johny Srouji, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Technologies, when speaking at the WWDC in June about Apple’s changeover away from the Intel-based MacBook — the Mac architecture the environment has been employing considering that 2006.
Srouji termed the Mac changeover to Apple silicon a “huge leap forward.”
Apple’s goal, in accordance to Srouji, is to deliver “a a lot larger amount of performance even though at the very same time consuming less electrical power.”
Apple’s GPU (graphics processor) may well be the most video game-switching piece of silicon. It will “bring a whole new stage of graphics efficiency, earning the Macs even superior for core apps and actually fantastic for gaming,” Srouji said.
Here’s what to count on — dependent on forecasts* as of summer months 2020:
13-inch MacBook Pro 2020-2021: late 2020 or early 2021. This might have a related actual physical style to the recent 13-inch MacBook Pro but with new internals, i.e., Apple’s new silicon. This would reportedly be the 1st MacBook to get Apple’s new A Sequence processors designed particularly for the Mac. The MBP 13 will go into mass creation in the fourth quarter of this 12 months, in accordance to experiences.
MacBook Air 2o2o or 2021: late 2020 or early 2021. The MBA may well stand to advantage the most from the new Apple silicon mainly because it’s the thinnest and lightest MacBook and has not been a fantastic match for Intel processors (based mostly on my knowledge of possessing numerous MacBook Air models as effectively as 12-inch MacBooks over the a long time).
14-inch MacBook Pro: by 3rd quarter 2021. This would boast a a mini-LED display and an “all-new type factor” and be Apple’s initially 14-inch MBP.
16-inch MacBook Pro: by 3rd quarter 2021. Also, with mini-LED display screen and also, reportedly, with an all-new style. That said, other rumors have claimed an up-to-date 16-inch MacBook Pro would arrive in October or November of this year. Both could happen.
