New “Desert Light” Event Encourages Players Worldwide to Work Together for Shared Rewards
Pearl Abyss has launched a new global community event for Black Desert, inviting players around the world to collaborate toward collective goals while earning a range of in-game rewards. The event, titled “Desert Light,” is part of the MMORPG’s ongoing celebration of four years of self-publishing and offers players multiple ways to contribute to community-wide milestones.
The event arrives as Pearl Abyss continues a month-long anniversary campaign leading up to the annual Heidel Ball gathering in July, one of the game’s most significant community-focused events.
How the Desert Light Event Works
During the event period, players—known in the game as Adventurers—can obtain Desert Light through a variety of gameplay activities. These include daily login challenges, defeating monsters, gathering resources, fishing, battling World Bosses, and completing Dark Rifts.
Collected Desert Light can be exchanged through the Ancient Device in Velia for Desert Luminary’s Tokens. These tokens contribute to a global progress tracker shared by the entire player community.
As players collectively reach milestone targets of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%, additional rewards will become available to all participants.
Community Goals Unlock Additional Bonuses
Pearl Abyss said that reaching the final 100% milestone before the event concludes will trigger additional anniversary celebrations across the game.
These bonus events are expected to include enhanced Blessing of the Morning effects, increased Agris Fever recovery, and significant Hot Time boosts designed to accelerate player progression.
Potential bonuses include:
- Up to 1,000% Combat EXP
- 100% Item Drop Rate increase
- 100% Life EXP increase
The community-driven structure encourages players from different regions and servers to work toward a common objective, a format that has become increasingly popular in large-scale online multiplayer games.
