Canadian Distributor Showcases New Reference Designs

Date:

from Valentin Sattler
A Canadian retailer has released a promotional banner showing the new reference designs of the RX 6650 XT, RX 6750 XT and RX 6950 XT. There is a revised color scheme for the new Radeon coolers and some additional fans.

The rumor mill has been talking about an RDNA2 update for a long time, which will appear in the form of the RX 6650 XT, RX 6750 XT, and RX 6950 XT. The likely launch date is May 10, and a Canadian retailer recently posted a corresponding banner ad.

Update with new reference designs

Anyone looking for graphics cards on the Canada Computers website will see an image of the new RX 6×50 graphics cards as a banner ad at the top. The provided link only forwards you to the general RX-6000 graphics card offering. The new upgrade models have not been listed yet and therefore there is currently no official data on clock rates or RRP.

Still, the banner confirms two things. Firstly, these promotional materials usually appear just before the launch, and secondly, updated reference designs can be seen in the image. The refrigerators shown are reminiscent of the previous reference designs, but the clear center stripe is missing. Also, the new reference designs appear to be more powerful.

Specifically, a model with two fans is shown as the cooler of the RX 6650 XT, while the previous model only had one fan. There is also an update to the cooler on the RX 6750 XT so that it now has three fans. Only the reference design of the RX 6950 XT shows no changes apart from the new color scheme. The radiator is obviously thicker than the one on the RX 6750 XT, but that’s already the case with currently available models.
