The Seattle Seahawks offense was really cooking in the first half of Sunday Night Football, but what stands out as an evening play so far is the defense spray by one of the team’s best offense players. The Seahawks led 13-7, aiming for a punch with another goal line score, and Russell Wilson lofted the pass to the right flat. However, he hadn’t seen the Cardinals Safety Buddha Baker sitting on the route, so he picked it up and took it home. Or, at least, it seemed to happen.Instead, Baker was chased from behind by DK Met Calf in a very nice play. Must be seen to be believed.. Met Calf stopped Baker just inside the 10-yard line, Seahawks defense stopped the Cardinals four down, and Wilson returned the team to the field to score another score.
The Cardinals were less aggressive in most of the first half, but put together two different 75-yard scoring drives that ended with a great touchdown toss from Kyler Murray to the top two receivers (first). DeAndre Hopkins, then Christian Kirk), and a one-minute drill drive for slow field goals. I just couldn’t stop the Seahawks at all, except for the Baker Pick near the goal line. Wilson and Tyler Lockett continue to connect with a deep ball, and the Seahawks lead 27-17 in the break.
