Files 2.3.7: file manager for Windows 10 and 11 even more optimized

Date:

Files is a free file manager that comes in the Fluent Design of Windows 11 and offers many useful features. In the latest version 2.3.7, the open source app, designed as a UWP app, receives a product update that aims to bring even more clarity and control in file management.

Files put File Explorer to shame

The use of a dark mode and custom themes is also possible, while small details such as the calculation of the 128-bit hash value (MD5) or quick access to the Windows Subsystem for Linux (wsl) via the sidebar, as well as tabs and a two-window view clearly differentiate the file manager from the built-in tools of today’s Windows operating systems.

Files 2.3 offers various display options in dark and light mode

After Files v2.3.0 (release notes) plus a new optional compact view, improved tab control and customizable color flags for the sidebar, a cloud platform integration nextcloud and native Arm64 support, Files v2.3.5 integrated Google Drive into the file manager.
