G Fits Gaming Headset: Logitech Fulfills Gamers’ Dreams

With the new “G Fits” gaming headset, Logitech solves one of the biggest problems for gamers: latency. The new wireless in-ear headphones not only feature a custom-made lightweight eartip, but also feature Lightspeed connectivity, a first in its class.

  • Logitech G Fits gaming headset announced.
  • The in-ears are the first truly wireless headphones to feature Logitech’s Lightspeed.
  • The Logitech G Fits TWS starts at $230.

The Logitech G Fits don’t have the typical active noise cancellation, instead they have soft gel ear cushions that mold to your ears and act as passive blockers. The company calls this technology “Lightform.” With a light on each side, the gel hardens before conforming to your ear canal. You have to start this process by pressing a button and repeat it every time you use the headphones. Logitech says it takes a minute for the headset to fully adjust.

Logitech also owns the Ultimate Ears brand, so there are some striking similarities in the design and features of the two headphones. The Ultimate Ears UE Fits have the same Lightform feature as the G Fits, but no gaming features.

Wired headphone latency

The G-Fits earphones are Logitech’s first TWS earphones to use the new Lightspeed feature. This is exclusively reserved for Logitech gaming accessories. You can find them not only in mice, but also in keyboards. The technology delivers wired-like performance with gaming-grade latency. In addition, it is compatible with any type of source, such as consoles or speakers, that has a USB-C or -A port that you can connect the receiver to.

The earphones themselves have a pill-shaped design. Inside are two beamforming microphones, 10mm audio drivers, and a battery that lasts 15 hours with the charging case and Lightspeed activated. Taking advantage of Bluetooth 5.2 guarantees a longer playback time of up to 20 hours, the manufacturer promises.

Logitech G Fits Pricing and Availability

The Logitech G Fits headset is $230 and is not yet available in the US or other markets. It is not yet known when the headphones will arrive in Germany and how much they will cost here. The earphones and housing are available in the color combinations black/yellow or white/lavender. Logitech also includes interchangeable eartips. There’s also a slightly cheaper variant of the G Fit, but it’s missing Lightspeed connectivity.
