Gaming Display: Samsung Introduces Odyssey Arc

Date:

The world of video and computer games is coming together again at Gamescom in Cologne, the world’s largest gaming trade fair. Just in time for launch, Samsung is introducing its new Odyssey Ark display: a 55-inch display with 1000R curvature. It’s the latest display in the Samsung Odyssey lineup that, in addition to picture and sound quality, should impress with an innovation: a solar-powered remote control called the Ark Dial. This allows you to use the screen in portrait and landscape mode. Format.

Odyssey Ark should allow almost all gaming scenarios: in cockpit mode, the screen can be rotated vertically, which should create a new gaming and multitasking experience. Samsung’s Quantum Matrix LED technology is used for the screen. The content should also get a visual impression through the Neural Quantum Processor Ultra – it upscales content to up to 4K resolution. The matte screen surface is equipped with anti-glare and reflective protection. To enhance the immersive effect, Samsung uses Sound Dome Tech with Dolby Atmos, AI Sound Booster, and Quad Object Tracking Sound (OTS). Also, the screen has a refresh rate of 165 Hertz and a response time of 1 millisecond.

Customers have been able to reserve the Odyssey Ark since August 22, 2022.
