Google has had enough: YouTube’s special app is being scrapped

YouTube’s slim alternative, YouTube Go, will be discontinued. The app will no longer be available from August because, according to YouTube, it is simply no longer needed. Users now just have to switch to the larger YouTube app.

According to an announcement from Google, YouTube Go will no longer be available from August 2022.
