BitMart exchange loses $ 200 million
The $ 200 million hack was first exposed by the Peckshield company, a data analysis company. The official announcement describes the event as a “large-scale security breach.”
After further study, Peckshield revealed a simultaneous hack of $ 96 million in Binance Smart Chain (BSC) and $ 100 million in Ethereum (ETH).

BitMart said that funds in these two directions represent only a “small percentage of assets at Bitmart” and that all the other wallets are “safe and undamaged”. The exchange is still conducting a comprehensive security review and all withdrawals are on hold until further notice.

The attacker used the 1Inch decentralized exchange (DEX) to convert all tokens to Ether. The ETH was then sent to the Tornado Cash mixer, making it difficult to track.. The following diagram shows the operations:

The Peckshield company noted that it was a simple game for pirates, a game in which they “transfer, exchange and wash”.
