Developed and published by IllFonic and co-published with Gun Interactive, the game is being produced alongside Compass International Pictures and Further Front. Players controlling Michael Myers are tasked with tracking townspeople while attempting to remain undetected.
The character can use supernatural abilities and stealth mechanics to stalk potential victims while avoiding interference from law enforcement. The approach reflects the methodical, suspense-driven style that defined Michael Myers in the original movie.
Rather than relying solely on direct confrontations, the gameplay emphasizes remaining hidden and choosing when to strike.
Civilians Must Warn Residents and Call the Police
Playing as a civilian presents a very different set of objectives.
These characters are among the few people who understand the danger facing Haddonfield. Players must locate and warn potential victims, contact the police and help maintain essential resources such as electricity.
Keeping the lights on can become part of the struggle for survival, while coordination and awareness may help civilians protect the town from Michael Myers.
The competing objectives are designed to create tension between the killer’s efforts to remain unseen and the civilians’ attempts to alert Haddonfield before it is too late.

In addition to its asymmetrical multiplayer gameplay, Halloween: The Game includes a single-player story mode.
The campaign allows players to revisit events connected to Michael Myers and the night that established him as one of American horror cinema’s most recognizable villains.
Players can attempt to guide Haddonfield through the night or experience events from the killer’s perspective, expanding the game beyond its core multiplayer format.
