CES 2022 is just around the corner, but Samsung is already showing some of the monitors with which it will participate in the event. Among these, the first gaming monitor to offer 4K resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate, along with the 32 “Smart Monitor M8 that integrates productivity applications and smart television. In addition, it presented the S8 monitor in high resolution, with high UHD Performance range for creators and designers.
Odyssey Neo G8
If until now 4K gaming monitors offered a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, Samsung raises the bar by taking the refresh rate to 240Hz with the new 4K Odyssey Neo G8 display.
The new 32 “monitor uses quantum mini-LEDs, with a 1000R curvature, making it possible to view the curved screen without distortion from a distance of one meter.
M8 is smart in every way
The 32 “M8 monitor is expected to be much thinner than the previous model. The UHD panel will offer a 99% sRGB color gamut with 1.07 billion colors at 400 nits brightness.
Samsung has also added smart home features, as well as productivity apps and smart TV features. It will act as a control center for smart devices even without a PC. The SlimFit magnetic webcam is movable, while the video calling app supports popular features like Google Duo. The Game Home function turns the M8 into a monitor for streaming games in the cloud.
The high-resolution S8 monitor
The high-resolution Samsung S8 monitor will be available in 27 and 32-inch sizes and should ensure rich and vibrant colors. In addition, it seems that it will be the first anti-glare monitor certified by UL (Underwriter Laboratories), thanks to the matte finish of the screen.
Both models feature 90W charging with USB-C and LAN ports to charge laptops and mobile devices without the need for external bases.
All three monitors will arrive in the first half of the year, according to Samsung. However, the retail prices are not yet known.
