Killzone website is “obsolete”, does not affect online multiplayer

Sony has “deprecated” the Killzone franchise website, but promises that this change will not affect online multiplayer mode. VGC, Visitors to Killzone.com The developer, Guerrilla Games, will display the message, “The official website of the KILLZONE franchise has been discontinued. Visitors to Killzone.com will be directed to PlayStation.com in the future.”The message does not affect the online multiplayer mode of the Killzone game, but it is also mentioned in the Killzone Mercenary and Killzone ShadowFall player statistics or ranking data.

, “You can no longer create or manage clans in Killzone ShadowFall.”

The guerrilla ends with “Thanks to the enthusiasm and support of many fans and visitors over the years at Killzone.com.”

This doesn’t necessarily mean that the Killzone franchise will be gone forever, but more than seven years have passed since then. Killzone Shadow Fall was released as the launch title for PlayStation 4, and the guerrillas subsequently moved to Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West.

The PS2 Killzone series started in 2004, and the PSP Killzone: Liberation continued in 2006. There were two entries on the PS3. Killzone 2 in 2009 and Killzone 3 in 2011, Killzone: Mercenary on Vita and the aforementioned Killzone Shadow Fall were released in 2013.
