Microsoft sells ugly MS Paint Sweaters and a portion of the revenue will benefit Girls Who Code

Date:

Microsoft is starting its holiday spirit a little earlier today by offering “ugly” sweaters with the theme of MS Paint. Sale at online store, A portion of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to Girls Who Code. The company has previously manufactured Windows XP and 95 sweaters for influencers and super fans, but this is the first time the company has sold sweaters directly to customers.

There were three types of Microsoft “software” available this morning: the MS Paint sweater mentioned above and the remaining inventory of Windows 95 and XP sweaters. When we first checked the store, those XP and 95 sweaters were already out of stock and currently only this year’s MS Paint sweaters are available. Check out all three varieties in the gallery below to see what you might have missed.

Microsoft has enjoyed these promotions in the past, packaging older Windows XP sweaters into Windows XP-style boxes.

It’s hard to know exactly how this year’s sweater will be packaged, as MS Paint is installed on Windows rather than sold separately, but we hope Microsoft’s Goofy trend will continue. Obviously, there are sweater fans in the company’s ranks. Maybe it’s a potential bit of Bill Gates’ influence?

Bill Gates

Bill Gates wears a sweater as is often the case.

Whatever the source, MS Paint Sweaters are still in stock for $ 69.99 each, and $ 20 for each sale will be sent directly to Girls Who Code from December 1st to 23rd today. Microsoft says it plans to donate at least $ 50,000 to nonprofits from this promotion. If you’re new to it, Girls Who Code is a non-profit organization that aims to get more women into the field of computer science by providing classes and educational resources.

The relative ugliness of these sweaters is controversial (I personally think MS Paint sweaters look pretty good), but if you miss old Windows, you’re in time for a digital ugly sweater party. Can be decorated.Maintaining the theme, Microsoft also offers Windows and MS paint background For Skype and Teams, if you want to appear trapped in a picture created on your parent’s computer during a video chat.

You can buy MS Paint is now an ugly sweater And it benefits for good reason.
