I felt like the Mets season was over yesterday. Today – not so much. The Mets beat the raise yesterday and the Marlins / Phillies both lost. Mets came in second in the division with just two wildcards and three games back from the autoplayoff berth. The time is still off the Mets, but there is a way for them to return to the playoffs. What a wild year!

Fight Mets – They are part of a struggling rotation this season. Michael Wacha will get the start of Mets. With seven games and six starts, he threw 28 innings at 6.75 ERA, 5.04 FIP, 1.679 WHIP and 63 ERA +. He comes from a relief outing in Philly, one of the best performances of the season. In the game Mets won 5-4, he allowed 5 hits to 1 run over 4 innings. The game knocked down his ERA from the best of the season at 7.50. Raise has the following numbers for Wacha:

  • Mike Zunino 0-1, BB

Mets bats will see Tyler Grassnow tonight. This year, after 10 starts and 51 1/3 innings, we have won 4.21 ERA, 3.46 FIP, 1.188 WHIP and 102 ERA +. Grassnow recorded a bumpy start until September, allowing 7 runs over 12 1/3 innings in 2 starts, but bounced off at the last start, allowing only 1 run in 5 innings out of 10 innings. ..
