Classic Patlabor Story Comes to Modern Gaming Platforms

Players Step Into the World of Tokyo’s Patrol Labor Unit

Based on the long-running Mobile Police Patlabor anime and manga franchise, the game recreates key moments from the series while allowing players to experience events from multiple perspectives.

The story takes place in a future where giant robots known as Labors are widely used in construction and civil engineering projects. As the technology becomes more common, Labor-related crimes increase, prompting the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department to create the Special Vehicles Section 2 Patrol Labor Unit, commonly known as Patlabor.

Players will take part in story-driven missions while piloting a variety of Labor units throughout the campaign.

The game also includes missions that can be experienced from both the perspective of Special Vehicles Section 2 and opposing forces, offering different viewpoints on the story.

Third Trailer Highlights Three Core Game Modes

Main Missions, Alternate Storylines, and Simulator Battles

The newly released trailer focuses on the game’s three primary gameplay modes:

Main Mission

This mode follows the central storyline and recreates major events from the Patlabor universe.

Another Side Mission

Players can experience alternate perspectives and scenarios that expand on the main narrative.

Simulator Mode

Designed for practice and combat challenges, Simulator Mode includes shooting exercises and Labor-versus-Labor battles that allow players to test their skills outside the main campaign.

The trailer also provides a first look at fully voiced story sequences featuring members of Special Vehicles Section 2 Division 2, alongside several newly revealed gameplay scenes.

Good Smile Company has reopened pre-orders for the limited Special Edition after strong interest from fans.

The package includes the exclusive MODEROID Griffon the Case Files Color Version plastic model kit, which is available only through the Special Edition release.
