Two arcade shoot-’em-ups from Japanese developer CAVE are returning on modern consoles as Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted launches digitally for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
Clear River Games, working with developer City Connection, released the double-game package on October 1, 2026. Physical editions for both platforms are scheduled to follow on October 29.
Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted Brings Two CAVE Shooters Together
The collection combines two vertically scrolling arcade shooters built around CAVE’s signature bullet-hell gameplay, where players must navigate dense patterns of enemy projectiles while pursuing increasingly higher scores.
Although packaged together, the two games feature different mechanics, settings and approaches to difficulty.
Muchi Muchi Pork! delivers a colorful and deliberately unusual setting, while PinkSweets Boosted emphasizes an adaptive challenge that responds to player performance.
Muchi Muchi Pork! Turns Enemy Bullets Into Bacon
Muchi Muchi Pork! follows Momo, Ikuo and Rafute as they confront General Pork Fillet, an enemy from the planet Iberiko who has begun transforming the residents of Butaduka City into pig hybrids.
The three characters pilot pedal-powered Ketta Machines through five stages filled with the dense projectile patterns associated with bullet-hell shooters.
Its scoring mechanics include a high-risk Medal Chaining System that rewards players for maintaining successful chains.
Players can also fill a meter using parachuting pigs to activate the Lard Attack. Bombs provide another defensive option, clearing threats from the screen while transforming incoming enemy bullets into collectible bacon.
PinkSweets Boosted Builds on the 2006 Arcade Shooter
The second game in the collection, PinkSweets Boosted, is based on the 2006 sequel to Ibara.
Players can choose between four ships, with each offering two firing styles, before attempting to survive seven stages.
One of the defining mechanics is a dynamic difficulty system that responds to skilled play. As players perform more effectively, the game’s difficulty rank can increase, creating additional pressure and requiring them to consider when aggressive shooting is the best strategy.
Rose Cracker Shield Adds a Defensive Option
PinkSweets Boosted gives players several defensive tools for surviving its increasingly demanding projectile patterns.
Holding fire activates the Rose Cracker Shield, while protective Rosehips can be positioned around the player’s ship to absorb incoming projectiles.
The combination of offense and defensive restraint means players may need to balance constant firing with tactical pauses, particularly as the dynamic difficulty system responds to their performance.
The result is a different style of challenge from Muchi Muchi Pork!, despite both games sharing the vertical shoot-’em-up format.

Muchi Muchi Pork! & PinkSweets Boosted is available digitally now on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
The digital edition carries a suggested retail price of $39.99 in the United States and €34.99 in Europe.
Players who prefer physical releases will have to wait several more weeks. Physical versions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch are scheduled to launch October 29, 2026, at an MSRP of $54.99 in the U.S. and €49.99 in Europe.
