Through today’s Marvel’s Avengers War Table presentation, we received an extensive look at gameplay for Crystal Dynamics’ future superhero activity. Though the motion was abundant and the details went deep (you can read the complete recap of the online video, as well as our job interview with the workforce listed here), one subtle depth caught our eye.
In the opening cutscene of Thor’s “When An Avenger…” Hero mission, a reporter is broadcasting beneath the Avengers’ helicarrier though a fight rages on. On even more examination, the microphone flag capabilities the emblem of none other than The Everyday Bugle, the publication that Peter Parker performs/worked for. Could this most likely be a tease that the webslinger himself could be recruited by Ms. Marvel to aid Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, and Hulk in the long term?
When this could simply just serve as a meaningless nod to the higher Marvel universe, in our new interview with Crystal Dynamics, studio head Scot Amos states the workforce is introducing teases in the start-day content to trace at likely future heroes, villains, and story arcs. “Some of the hooks we forged into the water on working day 1, you’re like, ‘Oh, that is type of neat. Intention has this undersea foundation. It’s performing some amazing know-how. I wonder if that ever goes someplace.’ Then later, we pay out that off with, ‘Oh my gosh! That tied to this, and now this other character confirmed up!'” he says. “People types of arcs are issues we’re setting up at the core degree and then incorporating these heroes, locations, and villains at no added charge. That world retains increasing and you’re regularly on that invest in-the-ticket-get-the-journey-with-us journey from the commencing via the expansions that we’re likely to have.”
