New Whatsapp feature finally available for Android users too

Date:

A popular feature that is already available for the desktop and iOS versions of the messenger is now available for Android.

Whatsapp has just sent a new update through the “Google Play” beta program that updates the version to 2.22.6.7. This finally adds the ability for Android users to pause and resume voice recordings when recording,

as reported by WABetaInfo.

Users of the desktop version and Whatsapp for iOS have had the same feature for some time, but the feature for Android has been a long time coming.

In a previous update, you could at least stop the voice memo recording. Whatsapp has now introduced a new pause button: after you tap on the pause button, you have the option to continue recording the voice memo.

This feature is already released for some beta testers and is still available after installing the new beta version of “Whatsapp Business” for Android 2.22.6.7 update. If you don’t see the new function to pause and resume recording voice memos, it means that your Whatsapp account is not ready yet. In this case, you will receive the feature in a future update.
