A few days ago Google launched a real firework of updates for Pixel smartphones that, in addition to the usual monthly update, consisted of the Pixel Feature Drop and Android 12L. user of Pixel 6 smartphones However, we still have to be patient, but the waiting time should be over very soon: there is now a date for the release of the next major Pixel 6 update.

Pixel Feature Drop March 2022

Unfortunately, users of Pixel 6 smartphones are already used to having to wait a little longer than users of “old” Pixel smartphones. In February, the monthly updates were implemented in parallel, but this was not the case in all previous months and also in March. Specifically, Pixel 6 users are waiting for the March security update which includes numerous bug fixes, Pixel Feature Drop, and the final update to Android 12L or Android 12.1.

Officially, Google only said that this package will be released “later this month” and the probability that it will be almost exactly two weeks later is quite high. The March 21 date was circulated by some sources, including Google support very sporadically, and has now also been confirmed by a Canadian mobile operator. However, it has also happened that Google releases the update “when it is ready”. That may be later, but also earlier.

So Pixel 6 users don’t have to wait much longer and maybe the update will be available later tonight. It’s not out of the question, because that’s happened before.
