Did someone just say “viper”? I must have heard wrong. This Friday night, Ubisoft revealed more details about the next Operator in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. In the upcoming Operation Vector Glare, the attacker “Sens” will join the existing characters.

Sens will not only be equipped with the new P0F-9 Assault Rifle in Rainbow Six Siege, but will also implement a whole new mechanic.

Sens comes with green smokescreens

Belgium’s new attacker brings with her a device that allows her to set up full visibility barriers. To use this ability, she launches a small, round object that rolls across the ground, bounces off surfaces, and then creates a green smoke screen over the distance it travels. Of course, the ability immediately reminds us of Riot Games’ Valorant hero shooter, in which the “Viper” agent also uses green gas to block line of sight.

Like Viper, Sens in Rainbow Six Siege will be able to implement new tactics and moves that previously lacked the technical requirements and skills in other operators’ repertoire. We may be curious to see how it fits into the game and what ideas players come up with in this context.

Ubisoft wants to fully reveal Operation Vector Glare, which includes the attacker Sens and many other innovations, such as another map, this Sunday, May 22, 2022.
