Remedy and Tencet together for the development of a new IP, the first details

Date:

In this period, Remedy seems to be involved on several fronts at the same time. Just a few weeks ago we saw the announcement of the long-awaited Alan Wake 2, but not only. The talented Finnish studio had already announced that it was working on a project with the Epic Games Store and on the development of the single-player campaign for Crossfire X. Along with all this good fortune, a few minutes ago the team and Tencet announced a association that will lead to the creation of a new intellectual property unpublished.

Remedy Entertainment

As already mentioned above, the announcement is fresh from the day, so much so that Remedy and Tencent wanted to launch a press release in which they reveal all the first details of this collaboration. The title in question is now known as codenamed ‘Vanguard’, and it would be a multiplayer experience with elements of cooperation. But it doesn’t stop there, Vanguard will introduce itself as A free PvE shooter that will combine the Remedy story-making experience and an action game into one immersive multiplayer experience.

The game, currently in development, will be powered by Unreal Engine and will be released for PC and console platforms.. Remedy will develop and release the game worldwide, excluding select Asian markets, where Tencent will locate and publish Vanguard. Game development is currently in the prototyping phase, and iThe budget will be typical for a Remedy AAA game.

“Vanguard marks Remedy’s debut in the games-as-a-service business model. We are building something new and exciting for cooperative multiplayer. Expanding our capabilities to take on editorial responsibilities is the next step in our business development. We are excited about this long-term partnership with Tencent and can confidently say that this is a great way to support Vanguard’s ambitious plans. Vanguard is a global opportunity and Tencent can support Remedy internationally and lead operations in Asia and the mobile markets. “, has declared Tero Virtala, CEO of Remedy Entertainment.
