Roadhouse Simulator Prequel Releases Free Prologue on Steam May 19

Date:

A new simulation game tied to the success of Gas Station Simulator is set to give players an early look at its storyline. Roadhouse Simulator, developed by DRAGO Entertainment, will release a free prologue chapter on May 19, 2026, for PC via Steam.

The prequel explores the backstory of a key character known as “Uncle,” placing players in the gritty environment of a roadside biker bar along the historic Route 66—a setting familiar to many Americans as a symbol of cross-country travel and roadside culture.

A Prequel to a Popular Simulation Franchise

Roadhouse Simulator builds on the success of Gas Station Simulator, which has sold more than 2 million copies worldwide. The new title shifts focus from running a gas station to managing a rough-and-tumble bar in a remote desert location.

The free prologue serves as an introduction to the game’s mechanics and narrative, offering a glimpse into the events that shaped one of the original game’s most recognizable characters.

Gameplay Centers on Bar Management and Conflict Control

From Bouncer to Bartender

Players begin as a bouncer responsible for maintaining order at a remote roadhouse. Duties include monitoring guests, managing conflicts, and ensuring the establishment runs smoothly.

As the game progresses, players can advance to bartender responsibilities, learning to handle demanding customers and maintain operations under pressure.

Balancing Authority and Risk

The gameplay emphasizes decision-making in high-pressure situations. Players can attempt to de-escalate conflicts or intervene physically when necessary. At the same time, they must manage external threats, including rival biker gangs seeking to disrupt business.

Players also face the challenge of operating under the watch of local law enforcement. Risky or illegal activities may lead to inspections, fines, or temporary shutdowns—adding a layer of strategy to how the bar is managed.

Setting Reflects Classic American Road Culture

The game’s environment draws heavily on imagery associated with Route 66, often referred to as “Main Street of America.” The setting includes a remote desert highway, long-distance travel, and roadside establishments—elements that resonate with American cultural history and media portrayals of cross-country journeys.

Players arrive at the roadhouse after traveling by bus across the country, stepping into a workplace filled with unpredictable patrons and high-stakes situations.

Developer Insights

“With Roadhouse Simulator, we’re going back to the outlaw days of Route 66 and Gas Station Simulator,” said Joanna Tynor, CEO of DRAGO Entertainment. “The Uncle has been such a popular character in the Gas Station Simulator world, and we’re finally ready to explore his origin story—the prologue is just a first taste.”

Additional Demo Planned Ahead of Full Release

The studio also confirmed that a larger demo will be released later in 2026, ahead of the full game’s launch. This version will allow players to manage a fully operational bar with expanded features and mechanics, reflecting the character’s growth and experience.

Conclusion

With its upcoming free prologue, Roadhouse Simulator introduces players to a more rugged side of simulation gameplay, combining management mechanics with action-driven scenarios. By exploring the origins of a familiar character and placing players in an iconic American roadside setting, the game aims to build on the success of its predecessor while offering a distinct experience rooted in bar culture and survival strategy.
