The hospital, which is frequented by stars including singer Keri Katona, actress Tina Malone and British model Islin Horgan Wallace, confirmed the attack, saying they demanded a ransom in exchange for not releasing the images.

It’s unclear when exactly the attack occurred, but the hospital, which is well known in the UK for breast augmentation surgery, said in a statement that none of the patients’ payment card details had been compromised. , but that some personal data could have been accessed.

The company said that an email was sent to all customers about the attack and that people will be contacted with more personal details.

However, the company clarified that many of the images obtained by REvil will not include patient faces.

REvil Group announced that it had acquired close to 900 GB of the most important documents and personal data of clients, as well as intimate photos of patients, and threatened to publish the first batch of files next week.

REvil, the world’s most infamous hacking group, attacked the exchange company Travelex in late December 2019, and the company reportedly paid a $ 2.3 million ransom in exchange for restoring its network.

REvil hacked into the celebrity law firm Grubman, Shire, and Meiselas & Sacks, and the group also targeted some celebrities, including Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Donald Trump, and then threatened to reveal their details or sell them at auction unless pay a ransom.

After the attack, the US law firm’s website went down and hackers claim they have 756 gigabytes of data, including contracts, nondisclosure agreements, phone numbers, email addresses, and private correspondence.

REvil, believed to be based in Russia, demanded a $ 21 million ransom after infiltrating the company and stealing emails, contracts and personal data.
