The director of the IT reserve, Pavel Myasoedov, warned the Russians about the surveillance method via mobile phone, writes agency “Prime”.

According to the expert, any mobile operator using DF technology can find out the exact location of a subscriber using a phone number. “By themselves, these technologies are harmless and are used to inform users in a timely manner, for example, about the weather or available services while traveling when they change region,” he said.

Myasoedov added that almost all providers have a service that allows you to track a subscriber, you can connect it on demand, and the location data will be transmitted to a certain circle of people. To connect, you need access to a mobile phone, just a couple of minutes. Then, in the SMS message, the service is activated. “It is often used by the wicked or by jealous friends and relatives. Fortunately, you can always contact the operator and deactivate these services ”, emphasizes the specialist.

Previously, a Russian repairing phones in Vladivostok, converted his service in the “detective agency”, he began to record videos and help people in the Primorsky Territory. He noted that scammers themselves often bring the stolen item to the repair service to sell in exchange for replacement parts.
