There’s no macOS Big Sur yet, but Apple has released a handy update for the MacBook

Date:

Apple spent a busy week pushing a series of software updates to iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch owners, but Mac users were probably disappointed that macOS 11.0 Big Sur wasn’t released at the same time. This blockbuster Mac upgrade was announced at Apple’s annual developer conference in June, along with iOS 14, iPad OS 14, and Watch OS 7.

All other operating system upgrades from Apple are currently available to users around the world, but Big Sur remains unreleased. This is not uncommon. Last year, macOS Catalina appeared a few weeks after iOS 13 was released on the iPhone.

In fact, Catalina was officially released on October 7, 2019, and it looks like Big Sur could be targeted for a similar launch date. Apple hasn’t revealed details of the operating system release until a few days ago, but it’s likely that we’ll hear news about Mac OS Big Sur in the coming weeks.

Apple has already promised to launch a new Mac with its own designed and unique processor by the end of the year, which is called the Apple Silicon. So it’s pretty safe to assume that a Cupertino-based company will hold another media event in the coming weeks to announce the latest Mac hardware. This is a good time to talk more about macOSBig Sur.

Apple may not have all the shiny new features on the Mac yet, but Apple has announced the release of a new upgrade to Safari.

Companies in the United States say Safari 14.0 introduces new features to further improve performance and security. Once installed, you will find a new tab bar design, you will see more tabs on your screen, and by default you will also see your favicon.

The customizable start page allows you to set a background image to add a new section, and your privacy report now shows a cross-site tracker blocked by intelligent tracking prevention.

To get the latest version of Safari, go to the Apple menu[システム環境設定]Click and[ソフトウェアアップデート]Click.

Then you will see a button called “Update Now”. Clicking this will start the installation, but please note that you will need to restart Safari to use the features.

Of course, this is a small update compared to the Big Sur release, which includes major changes to the design of the OS, improved messaging, and a customizable menu bar with a brand new control center. Brings a bonus feature.

Talking about the changes, Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of software engineering, said: Design in over 10 years.

“With its modern, clean look, significant improvements to major apps such as Safari, Messages, and Maps, and new privacy features, everyone will love the groundbreaking experience that macOS Big Sur offers. “

Express.co.uk will announce the full release date as more information becomes available.
