Edit WhatsApp messages afterwards? New feature is coming soon

Anyone who has misspelled a long message in WhatsApp chat history and already sent the full text has no choice but to write a new message and correct the misspelling.

This annoyance for many users will soon be a thing of the past. Because the company is currently working on the fact that text messages can also be edited later.

As the online news portal “chip.de” currently reports, the sender simply has to flag the message and then select the “Edit” option. The message should then end up back in the WhatsApp text field and can be changed as desired.

WhatsApp is said to be hard at work on a new feature, but when will it come out?

The online platform “WABetaInfo” discovered in the current beta version of Android 2.22.20.12 that users of an older version of the app will receive a notification in the future when they send an edited WhatsApp message. The app needs to be refreshed again if you want to see the respective changes in the message. This should be a clear indication that the new feature is already being worked on behind the scenes and that the feature will soon end up on users’ smartphones.
