Fans of fast-paced action RPGs have a new reason to return to VOIN. Developer Nikita Sozidar and publisher tinyBuild have released the game’s latest major content expansion, the Inferno update, now available for PC players through Steam Early Access.
The update introduces a large-scale dungeon, new enemy types, additional loot, and gameplay improvements as the dark fantasy hack-and-slash title continues development ahead of its full release.
Inferno Update Introduces New Dungeon and Enemy Waves
The Inferno update marks the third major content release for VOIN, a dark fantasy action RPG centered around high-speed melee combat and exploration.
Players once again take control of the elemental warrior VOIN, battling through hordes of enemies in a corrupted world shaped by mysterious supernatural forces. The latest update adds a fiery new region called The Thousand Names Atheneum, an expansive dungeon environment filled with dangerous enemies, layered pathways, and large-scale combat encounters.
According to the developer, the new dungeon is five times larger than the game’s previous Cathedral of the Other Side area. The location features open-air environments, twisting corridors, and a showdown against a new boss enemy known as the Fleshsmith Ramzedram.
New Weapons, Artifacts, and Combat Improvements
The Inferno expansion also introduces new weapons capable of dealing elemental damage, giving players more combat variety during large-scale encounters.
Enemy density has increased significantly in some sections, with players able to face up to 300 enemies simultaneously. The game’s combat system focuses heavily on rapid movement and aggressive melee attacks, placing VOIN alongside other modern hack-and-slash RPGs popular among PC gaming audiences.
Artifacts scattered throughout the world can provide gameplay advantages, though some may also strengthen the influence of the mysterious force referred to in-game as “HER.”
In addition to combat content, the update includes several quality-of-life improvements, including:
Gameplay and System Changes
- Rebalanced difficulty levels
- Faster attack speed rates
- Reworked save systems
- Additional tasks and map objectives
- Randomized end-of-run rewards
These adjustments are designed to improve progression and overall gameplay flow as the Early Access version continues to evolve.
Solo Developer Continues Expanding VOIN’s Vision
VOIN is being developed by solo creator Nikita Sozidar, who described the Inferno update as a major milestone for the project.
“Inferno is a huge step toward the vision I have for VOIN,” Sozidar said in a statement. “Much of what I’ve dreamed of for the final release is already here, but there’s still more to come and I can’t wait to share what’s next.”
The game has attracted attention within the indie RPG space for its stylized visuals, fast-paced combat, and atmospheric dark fantasy setting.
VOIN Available Now on Steam Early Access
VOIN is currently available on Windows PC through Steam Early Access for $19.99. The game supports multiple languages, including English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Ukrainian.
Publisher tinyBuild, headquartered in the Seattle area, is known for releasing several successful indie titles over the past decade, including Hello Neighbor, Graveyard Keeper, and SpeedRunners.
Conclusion
With a larger dungeon, expanded enemy encounters, and major gameplay refinements, the Inferno update represents a significant expansion for VOIN during its Early Access period. As development continues, the game appears to be steadily building toward a broader and more ambitious dark fantasy experience for action RPG players on PC.
