WoW Wrath of the Lich King Classic Release Confirmed! Overnight from Thursday to Friday, Blizzard posted the official release date on the WoW Classic home page. Consequently, Classic WoW fans can start all over again on September 26, 2022 and once again experience what is probably the most popular WoW expansion of all time.

The Lich King awaits you! Blizzard had previously kept fans in the dark for some time, though the beta has been live for some time and was running out of time until the end of the year. While some fans were already skeptical about a release this year due to lack of information, the suspicion of many others, who were firmly counting on September as the release month, proved true.

In the fourth quarter of this year, Blizzard is already planning two more major releases. With WoW’s upcoming retail expansion Dragonflight and Overwatch 2 Early Access, the end of the year for the developer and publisher is already packed. Therefore, Blizzard was supposed to try to accommodate Classic WotLK in the third quarter of 2022.
