To your drawers and other cabinets! This is currently the watchword in Bessan with two collections supported by the municipality and for which the Besanese seem particularly active. The first was born from a partnership between the association of mayors of Hérault, the Orange company and Emmaüs France. It consists of collecting old cell phones.
In fact, it is said that one hundred million mobile phones sleep in the drawers. The operation called Collect’mobile a gesture for my city promotes greater public awareness on this issue and aims to collect the largest number of mobiles, tablets or accessories (chargers, headphones, etc.) with a view to recycling them. The collector is placed in free access in the hall of the town hall.
The second collection is initiated by the hospital center of Béziers. It allows to recover toys for the benefit of children hospitalized in pediatrics and pediatric emergencies. Toys, games, books, stuffed animals … are already piling up in the town hall to soon return the smile to the children.
The population is invited to leave them at the town hall and in the schools. For hygiene and safety reasons, these toys must be new or in good condition.
