We have known for a long time that the improved community includes many creative minds. let’s just remember this amazing Shadowlands comic short film by Janine. But now we have received details about the project from a reader who is as extraordinary as he is crazy. Mike from Preach Gaming is involved, but so is E-RP at Goldshire and a homemade hammer.
drama time!
The project of our anonymous community member (at his own request) started half a year ago (!). On August 29, 2021, Mike from Preach Gaming read in his “Drama Time” video series Story “I, Goldshire!” Coming up on E-RP experiences in Goldshire and a player who reprimanded his relative with a Gamemaster for some… behaviour. Let’s keep it short: the author or main character did not go down too well with Mike and his community.
A second story followed in September 2021 titled “I, LFM”, which also ended up in Mike’s hands. When he realized who the story was coming from, he immediately remembered the trip to Goldshire: “Oh shit, it’s you. You’re the guy who bullied his cousin in Goldshire and ruined his whole experience, right? Oh, we still hate you.” Well, in the new story, the author was hardly sympathetic.
Hammer time!
Already in this second message our reader promised good Mike that we will listen to each other. However, the next step will take another month or two to prepare. And that he would need the help of Bex (one of the Preach Gaming employees) to make it happen. Mike wasn’t too interested in the idea.
But exactly this next step happened a few days ago (see above). Mike was playing Final Fantasy 14 live when a large package hit him. In the package: a really fantastic looking hammer (named Mikaelir) that our reader has been working on all these months. Now Mike was positively impressed. Also included was the third story, “Yo, I Need a Legendary”, which could play a role in an upcoming “Drama Time” episode.
And we know from a reliable source that three more stories are planned, which should turn the big picture around and show what entertaining WoW stories can be created if you put a lot of heart and soul into it.
